What you can do, on one page

Ask in plain language.
Every number is cited to its source sheet.

Ask

start here

Type any power-system planning question in the search bar — no special syntax.

  • "Compare the five scenarios on cost, emissions & reliability — which should we choose?"
  • "How much of our supply rides on the interconnector, and what if it trips?"
  • "What does the carbon cap cost the budget, and who carries it?"

Pick a role and role-specific starter questions appear.

Set your lens

Role (top-right) reframes the whole answer for that audience:

  • Power system planner — dispatch, adequacy, reserves
  • Line ministry (energy) — policy, sequencing, risk
  • Ministry of Finance — NPV, capex, exposure
  • Regulator — standards, cost recovery, tariff
  • Power pool / operator — imports, corridors, reserve sharing

Scenario focus — pin one of the 5 scenarios to spotlight.

  • Decision cards — each step is a cited insight ending in a "so what".
  • Cited figures [n] — every number traces to a workbook · sheet · row.
  • Stat chips — the key numbers highlighted to scan fast.
  • "What this dataset cannot tell you" — the honest limits, stated.

Explore the charts

Every chart auto-spotlights the biggest contrast. The first live answer chart now opens in story mode, and the Charting Station can turn selected dimensions into a scene-based gallery. Switch the view with the tabs:

  • Bar / Line — compare scenarios side by side
  • Stacked — part-to-whole composition
  • By scenario — one small chart each
  • Table — exact figures, every row
  • Heatmap — spot outliers across many rows with discrete severity bands
  • Treemap / frontier bubble — used when composition or trade-off space is the real story

Charting Station

workspace

Open Charting Station from the workspace top bar to generate a curated gallery of charts from the current dataset.

  • Tier 1 — decision canvas
  • Tier 2 — strategy lab
  • Tier 3 — theater lab
  • Select the dimensions you want, add a prompt, then page through the gallery like a carousel.

Present — Theater

Good to know

  • Grounded & cited — answers use only the model's own sheets; no invented numbers.
  • Sign in once — the app is access-gated.
  • It gets sharper with use, but a human approves anything it "learns".
